Each quadrennium, the Division of Ordained Ministry sponsors this training event for all Ministerial Assessment Specialists and BOM representatives who oversee the psychological assessment process for candidates and clergy. While training related to how to score and interpret assessment instruments will not be provided at this event, significant discussion and training regarding the relationship between psychological assessment and clergy fitness will be provided.
Time will be devoted to the development of ministerial assessment reports and what they should entail as well as considering new research on the contributing factors of well-being and fruitfulness in ministry. Offering different assessments at different points in the candidacy/ordination process will be addressed as well as emotional intelligence, group candidacy mentoring, and future trends in theological education.
The deadline for registering is Friday, February 14. The event will be held in Dallas, Tex.
